Functional Competency Self-Assessment — CSNC

Net Zero Expert Sessions · Net Zero & Carbon Management Section

Introduction

This self-assessment forms part of the Thaioil Corporate Sustainability Development Roadmap. It establishes your current proficiency in the three functional competencies most closely aligned to the CSNC Project-Based Learning Programme — FC150 Decarbonization Technology, FC149 Strategic Climate, Carbon & Net Zero Management, and FC151 Carbon Management — assessed against the expected behaviours defined in the Thaioil Functional Competency Dictionary at each competency's target proficiency level.

The assessment follows a 180-degree process: your self-assessment is completed first, followed by an independent assessment by your line manager using a separate manager assessment form. The two views are then discussed and agreed in a calibration meeting. This is a development instrument; it is not a performance appraisal and is not linked to compensation.

Please base each rating on work you have actually performed over the past twelve months. You may add a brief statement of evidence to support any rating; evidence is optional but strengthens the calibration conversation. Where you have not had the opportunity to perform a behaviour, select "Unable to rate" rather than estimating; such items are excluded from all calculations. The form may be completed in more than one sitting: responses are retained by this browser on this computer, and no information is transmitted elsewhere. Approximately 30–45 minutes is required.

Rating scale
1 — Aware. Understands the concept; requires step-by-step guidance to perform the behaviour.
2 — Developing. Performs the behaviour on structured tasks under supervision; output requires review.
3 — Proficient. Performs the behaviour independently on real Thaioil work; output is decision-grade.
4 — Advanced. Performs the behaviour in complex or ambiguous situations and guides others; influences business decisions.
5 — Expert. Recognised reference point; sets the standard and develops others in this behaviour.
Unable to rate. No opportunity to perform the behaviour; excluded from all calculations.
Items shown in grey are behaviours of the same competency that fall outside the scope of this programme. Please rate them as well: they complete the proficiency-level picture.
